Decision Making

Well, I hope everyone had a fantastic weekend and a pleasant Father's Day. now back to our regularly scheduled programming.
Gosh, decision making really is a process huh? It's hard enough to make decisions for yourself sometimes, and I think that the hardest decisions are often the smallest ones. The big, life altering choices I feel people can make without too many problems, mainly because they spend the time doing the research, thinking about what they want, and then going ahead and following their gut. People know the decision they're making and the consequences they'll have to live with. The smaller decisions however, are harder in my opinion. These are the choices that often creep up on you when you least expect it, the ones that aren't life changing events, but little things that initially have no effect on you. You know that these little decisions shouldn't be too important, stuff like what to eat today or what color phone case to purchase. These things are unimportant in the long run and we as people know this. And yet we toil over these decisions! I also want to put it out there that at know point will I attempt to explain this phenomenon or offer up advice with dealing it. Rather, I just want to point it out and complain about it. Because it is annoyance.
However, much worse than the independent decision making process is perhaps the group decision process. And this really does have a spectrum. A small group of close, tight knit friends have the power to make a decision quickly and easily. It really is a blessing.

LOSE $$$ With This Easy Trick!!!

The world of NFTs is so dumb yet so entertaining as it allows regular folks like you and me to laugh at rich idiots who waste their money! The internet is great! Around December 15th, 2020 Jack Dorsey minted a new NFT comprised of his (and the site's) first ever tweet. For those unaware, Dorsey is a co-founder and former CEO of twitter and the current founder and CEO of Block, Inc. This NFT was minted with much hype at the time, but to say that the offers came pouring in would be a misinformed overstatement. Yes there was a lot of buzz, but funnily enough looking at the bid history only one offer came in that day for one dollar. The price eventually rose, with an offer put forward on March 6th for 2.5 million USD. 16 days later on March 22, that bid was worth 2.9 million USD and was subsequently sold to Sina Estavi. Estavi is currently the CEO of Bridge Oracle funnily enough was arrested in Iran following his purchase of the NFT for alleged "economic disruption". Estavi h...

Spiderman 4: Into the Metaverse

At first, I thought I was going to write about Facebook doing a complete rebrand as a company and their transformation into "Meta". On Oct 28th, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company Facebook was more than just the platform Facebook and that the company name no longer encapsulated everything the company was trying to do. And just as  Google in 2015 had a restructure into parent company Alphabet, Facebook (the company) is now Meta. But as I did more research on what that entailed, I realized it's not really Facebook (from here on out Meta by the way) that I care about. Meta is just one small piece of this mess. Because, and call me cynical, I am one of the many who believe that Mark is just trying to move past all of the large pitfalls his company has recently encountered. I mean everything from large Instagram and Facebook outages to the recent whistleblower and the "Facebook Papers" cannot be good for the company name. I mean since really the beginnin...

Jessica Krug: A Tale of Two Races

I know that I've been away for a while and haven't written a post in some time, so I'm feeling pretty bad about myself right now. I want nothing more than to give you guys a heartfelt apology, but, I guess I don't know how to craft one that will have you all sympathizing with me and hopefully forgiving me. Luckily though, I know someone who is an expert in this field, having crafted perhaps the most preposterous apology of all time. Before we get into examining the intricacies of such a feat, why don't we start with a brief introduction of todays topic; Jessica Krug.           So I don't want to spend too much time talking about who Krug is and what she's done, I think the numerous articles that I'll link at the end will be more than enough. The gist of it is this; Jessica Krug is a white woman who has spent most of her life pretending to be black. That's pretty much that. She is white, but has claimed to be black and lived her...
