Roy Moore (A Pedophile)

In 2020, we will obviously be seeing what is perhaps the biggest election of the free world to see who would be the next president of the United States. But we can not forget that along with that monumental decision, we also have to vote for senators across the country which will influence the make up of Congress. People sometimes forget that not all the power rests in the president's hands and that legislature has to go through Congress as well.
Now in the last Senate election, people may recall the "honorable" judge Roy Moore, the GOP candidate running for Senate in Alabama. He had beaten out Luther Strange in the Republican primaries only to lose the Senate seat to Democratic candidate Doug Jones. Now normally Alabama voting for a democrat over a Republican is surprising, but in this case it shouldn't have been. If you remember, the people had a choice of voting for a Democrat or a pedophile. My problem is that there was even a choice at all. Why did Doug Jones only barely win? This should not have been a question here, it should have been a landslide victory. Forget the fact that Moore only barely won his judicial seat, or the fact that he was removed from bench twice. He is a pedophile, which should have been more than enough.
Now here comes my biggest problem, other than Moore not already being in jail. The current GOP leadership is vigorously against Moore running for Senate. But not for the reason you think. They aren't against him because of his past, his failures, or because he is a pedophile. No, they're against him because they are afraid of losing the seat to a Democrat again. Those absolute cowards.

Spiderman 4: Into the Metaverse

At first, I thought I was going to write about Facebook doing a complete rebrand as a company and their transformation into "Meta". On Oct 28th, CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced that the company Facebook was more than just the platform Facebook and that the company name no longer encapsulated everything the company was trying to do. And just as  Google in 2015 had a restructure into parent company Alphabet, Facebook (the company) is now Meta. But as I did more research on what that entailed, I realized it's not really Facebook (from here on out Meta by the way) that I care about. Meta is just one small piece of this mess. Because, and call me cynical, I am one of the many who believe that Mark is just trying to move past all of the large pitfalls his company has recently encountered. I mean everything from large Instagram and Facebook outages to the recent whistleblower and the "Facebook Papers" cannot be good for the company name. I mean since really the beginnin...

Netflix is Stoopid????

Well, I can't believe I'm talking about this. This shouldn't have to be a topic I riff on, especially with everything going on in the world right now. We have the Democratic Debate, the resignation of the governor of Puerto Rico, even more outbursts of racism from Donald Trump, and a whole number of other news stories from around the globe. I promise that I will get to the topic of Democratic Debates soon, but first let me just deal with this.           Some of you may or may not have seen those posts going around on Instagram of some one messaging Netflix and requesting a certain show to either not leave the platform or to be streamed on the platform. And in each post, Netflix promises to do what is asked if the post can reach 500,000 likes! Wow! Only 500,000 likes and Netflix will do their bidding!            As of the second quarter of 2019, Netflix had somewhere around 151 MILLION paying streaming subscribers worldwide. But he...

The NFTea on NFT Video Games

For the sake of clarity, I will do the briefest of recaps on what an NFT is before delving into my main business for today. An NFT, or "Non-fungible token" can be thought of as a purchasable digital proof of authenticity linked to a digital work. When an NFT is minted and sold on a marketplace, it can be bought and the buyer will receive the work and the digital code to mark their ownership. The word "receive" is not literal, as there is no physical work mailed to them. This is where most people get tripped up. Yes the work is digital and anyone can simply hit right-click and download the art. But then again, I don't have to pay millions at auction to own the Mona Lisa, I can order a cheap print of Amazon. Think of the NFT as being the mark that the buyer has rights to the authentic original. Yes, there are plenty of arguments against NFTs, from their use to their adverse effects on the environment. But, I am in no mood to get to them now and lucky for me this ...
